Calculus and Vectors is adapted from Calculus Volume 1 which is an Open Education Resource (OER) etextbook designed for the typical introductory calculus course. The book starts with an Introduction to Vectors, lines, and planes before diving into limits and derivatives. There is a dedicated chapter on the applications of derivatives which also includes applied optimization problems. It includes a customised e-textbook, algorithmic assessments powered by a test bank with over 550 unique questions, solution manuals, PowerPoint presentations, and real-time performance dashboards to view individual or class performance.
The Calculus resources are authored by G. Strang and E. “Jed” Herman. The Harris Learning Solutions Editorial Team has adapted Calculus Volume 1 to provide a tailor-made accompanying resource for the Calculus and Vectors course.

Harris Learning Solutions has been developing online formative and summative assessment (homework and exams) for more than 20 years combined, and as with the textbook content, questions and problems are regularly reviewed and updated.
Students receive immediate personalized feedback on their mistakes to guide their learning. Student grade reports and performance statistics are also provided, and full LMS integration, including gradebook synchronization, is available.
Harris Learning Solutions assessments are designed to not only test students but also to teach them to solve problems using intuitive methods, illustrations, and pedagogies.

Harris Learning Solutions dashboards provide a real-time visual understanding of individual student and overall class performance as they progress through the lessons and assessments. The dashboards are used by both students and professors to identify the areas of weakness, and to improve the in-class and self-study focus.
The instructor dashboard provides a real-time visual understanding of individual student and overall class performance as they progress through the course. While viewing assessment performance, the dashboard provides instructors with the average percent mark on each assignment, test, or exam. They can also see the highest mark and average mark secured on every question. This helps to identify the specific concept that an individual student or the entire class is having difficulty understanding. Instructors can also view the individual submission from each student, question by question. In this view, they can review and override marks as needed. Instructors can also download or export individual grades assessments to a spreadsheet or synchronize the grades to the institution’s learning management system.
The student dashboard provides students with a visualization of their progress on their assessments. From their dashboard they can see their best attempts, as well as their marks on their assignments, tests, or exams. These visualizations allow students to see their performance over time, which helps them to determine their areas of strength and concepts that require more work to master.
LMS integration available through LTI 1.3 protocol, compatible with platforms such as Blackboard, D2L, Canvas, Moodle, and more.

The PowerPoint presentations (PPTs) are designed to teach every concept in the textbook. Steps in teaching concepts appear one by one through the creative use of animations to provide students with an inclusive learning experience. Instructors have the option of downloading and making modifications to any of the PPTs. Additionally, the PPTs are designed to be used with student response systems (clickers) to gauge the overall class comprehension of concepts.
The PPTs are available for instructors and students in the following formats:
Instructor PPTs contain all of the solutions presented in the PPT.
Student PPTs (also called handouts) contain only the questions. They do not contain solutions to the problems. Additionally, animations have been removed from the student PPTs so that they can be printed and distributed to students at the beginning of each class for them to be able to work through the problems during class.
Delayered PPTs are the instructor PPTs without animations. These PPTs can be used on distance learning platforms that do not support animations.
